Andy Samberg Has MTV Movie Awards Hosting Tips For Jason Sudeikis

'Make sure 'Twilight' wins everything so the crowd is lively,' he tells his 'SNL' castmate before he hosts the June 5 show.

Andy Samberg slayed the crowd as host of the 2009 MTV Movie Awards. He shared a naked limo ride with Justin Timberlake, pronounced himself "the best intro-er of people intro-ing things" and lampooned action movies in a hilarious video in which he crooned, ''Cool guys don't look at explosions. They blow things up and then walk away.''

The "Saturday Night Live" star, in other words, knows a thing or two about hosting the wackiest movie awards show on the planet. And thus, he's got some sage advice for "SNL" castmate Jason Sudeikis, who's taking on emcee duties for this year's show, airing live on June 5 — not that he thinks Sudeikis needs much help.

"What advice can you give to a guy that has it all?" Samberg said when we caught up with him and his Lonely Island pals while they were promoting their upcoming comedy album, Turtleneck & Chain.

"Be yourself, grab 'em by the scruff of the neck and don't let go," he went on to advise Sudeikis. "Wear a nice suit. Hydrate. Crunches. Make sure 'Twilight' wins everything so the crowd is lively. Rig the results!"

Hmmm, that's one way of doing it. Another way would be to follow the helpful tips of Aziz Ansari, who hosted the Movie Awards last year. "It's so much work, so definitely have a lot of uppers on hand, like just drugs that'll get you fired up," he joked to us recently. "PCP is good to stay up all night, get all the work done. It's a cool thing, though; it's back in vogue. It's like Twitter, PCP. It's like trendy things: Twitter, PCP, Jonas Brothers."

The MTV Movie Awards nominees — based on your votes at MovieAwards.MTV.com — will be announced Tuesday, at which point you'll be able to vote for your favorite films and stars in categories like Best Fight, Best Kiss, Biggest Badass Star, Best Villain and, of course, Best Movie. Voting will continue through June 4, though Best Movie will remain open throughout the live ceremony on June 5 — meaning you'll have a chance to affect the night's biggest prize until the very last minute.

The 20th annual MTV Movie Awards air live Sunday, June 5, at 9 p.m. ET.

Ryan Phillippe Loves ?Everything? About Fatherhood

Ryan Phillippe, proud parent to Ava, 11, and Deacon, 7, with ex Reese Witherspoon, is clearly enamored with the role of dad. When the actor was asked what he loves most about being a father at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of The Bang Bang Club, he beamed. ?Everything! Everything! In the film, Ryan, 36, portrays a real-life combat photographer who covered the unrest in post-apartheid South Africa in the early ?90s. At home, his life is much simpler, as he balances the pressures of fame to create a good life for his kids. ?It?s pretty easy,? It?s been an eventful year for the handsome actor. Reese recently wed Hollywood agent Jim Toth, and Ryan is rumored to have moved on with girlfriend Amanda Seyfried, 25. Vanessa Hudgens 'Fell In Love' With 'Moulin Rouge'

MTV News will revisit Baz Luhrmann's 2001 movie musical Monday.
By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Kara Warner

Vanessa Hudgens knows the power of the movie musical. She starred in two uber-successful "High School Musical" movies and played Mimi in "Rent." So, if anyone can speak to the undeniable influence of Baz Luhrmann's 2001 movie musical masterpiece, "Moulin Rouge," it's her.

"Oh my goodness! It was just a beautiful, very specific look that I feel like everybody could completely submerge themselves into," she told MTV News about the film before Monday's upcoming "Moulin Rouge at 10: A Spectacular Spectacular MTV News Event." "And it was fun, and it was thrilling, and your heart just went out for these characters. I fell in love with the movie, and I have not stopped watching it since."

Hudgens' "Sucker Punch" co-star Jena Malone immediately drew comparisons between "Moulin Rouge" and their equally fantastical flick, thanks to their musical scores. "It's an interesting segue because Marius [de Vries] also did the music for 'Moulin Rouge' and he did the music for 'Sucker Punch,' and he does such crazy abstractions," she said. "I mean, Baz Luhrmann's incredible."

MTV News will reunite Luhrmann, and the movie's stars, Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor, on Monday at 3 p.m. ET on MTV.com. The director and actors will be joined by co-star John Leguizamo, who played artist Toulouse-Lautrec, and Catherine Martin, who won the Oscar for costume design and art direction. Hosted by MTV News' Josh Horowitz, the live stream will include special appearances and live interviews while looking back at how the film came to be and how its legacy continues to grow.

Don't miss "Moulin Rouge at 10: A Spectacular Spectacular MTV News Event" on Monday at 3 p.m. ET on MTV.com! Get in the conversation by tweeting @MTVNews with the hashtag #AskMoulin.

J.J. Abrams Calls 'Super 8' Work With Steven Spielberg 'Liberating'

'I felt free to allow the influences of his films to rise to the surface,' director tells MTV News.
By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

If it were up to J.J. Abrams, he'd be able to keep his mouth shut about "Super 8" — his upcoming, Steven Spielberg-produced summer blockbuster — until the movie slips into theaters June 10. That PR-free approach may have flown back when Abrams was making home movies to premiere, say, in his parents' basement, but that's just not how Hollywood works.

And so, as part of MTV News' Summer Movie Preview week, Abrams skipped away from a scoring set, where he's overseeing the orchestral music, to chat about the movie. We already know the film is set in Ohio in 1979 and follows six kids who are using a Super 8 camera to make a zombie flick. One night, they end up filming near a set of train tracks and capture a calamitous wreck and the creature that emerges from the wreckage. Soon the military pulls into town, and things start to get, well, very funky for these unsuspecting residents.

What we haven't learned much about is the nature of Abrams' collaboration with Spielberg, the way the director has managed to nod at Spielberg's films without copying them and much more. Thankfully, Abrams stepped in to provide us with some answers.

MTV News: Are we tearing you away from finishing your film? I hope not.

J.J. Abrams: We're about to lock picture, which I'm excited to do. I'm actually watching the musicians walk into the scoring stage right now with their cello cases and bass cases. It's an amazing score that Michael Giacchino has written. This part of the process is always the most exciting, because everything's coming together. The music is always one of the most exciting parts for me. I'm thrilled to be at this stage.

MTV News: Much of the discussion about this film has been about the blend of your talents and Spielberg's. Is there a nod to [frequent Spielberg collaborator] John Williams' scoring in this, or do you let Michael go at it without the specter of John Williams over him?

Abrams: I feel like on this movie, both he and I were as influenced by growing up and making movies as, let's face it, those loser kids who weren't the most popular, as we were influenced by the films of that era. What's cool about working on this film, especially with Michael, is that he and I shared the same kind of memories of childhood, even though we grew up 3,000 miles apart. When we met, we bonded over how we had the same kind of references and making movies as kids. I don't know how you would separate the various influences that Michael has experienced, including the remarkable scores of John Williams. What he's doing is very much his own voice, which is the only thing I'd want. I'd never ask him to do a score that apes a pre-existing score. But certainly the mood, the DNA of this movie, is as influenced by the films of the era as it was by the personal experiences we both had.

MTV News: What's cool about this is it seems like the kind of film we haven't seen for a long time. There's an earnestness and sweetness to it, in contrast to some of the cynicism we might see in summer movies. Would you agree?

Abrams: I haven't thought about it in terms of earnestness, but avoiding schmaltz is a massively important tenet to uphold. The goal for this is not to be earnest, but to be emotional. Sometimes the emotion is laughter and comedy and joy. Sometimes it's terror. Sometimes it's heartbreak or love-struck or petrified. One of the problems with something that is considered earnest is that it's somehow self-serious and lacking humor. That, to me, would be a disaster.

MTV News: How much have you used Mr. Spielberg as a resource throughout the process?

Abrams: He's a real producer of this movie. He worked with me to develop the story. We had countless story meetings prior to and following the script. What was wonderful about working with him is the ongoing conversation. Because I was working with him, I felt free to allow the influences of his films to rise to the surface. If I hadn't been collaborating with him, I would have been much more self-conscious. This is literally an Amblin movie. The ability to play with certain conventions of movies that he wrote, produced or directed was liberating. I didn't feel like I couldn't dare push in on a character's face, but that would feel like a shot you've seen. If it was the 100 percent right moment for that, I felt like, "Screw it, this is what it is." It began and was written and directed and is being finished not as an homage, but there are moments of homage in it. Steven will be here in 20 minutes at the scoring session. He came to the set a number of times. I showed him my first cut. I showed him last week what is minutes away from the final cut. He's been an incredible collaborator.

MTV News: Do you have a favorite film from the Amblin era in the late '70s and early '80s?

Abrams: There are films that he made, even if they weren't technically Amblin movies, that I loved. I loved "Poltergeist." Obviously, I was a huge fan of the films he directed. "Back to the Future" I loved. "Goonies" was a blast. Any number of movies that he made. The common thread in all of those, which is my favorite thing about them, is that it's relatable, ordinary people, sometimes in a classic suburbia, going through something terrifying or extraordinary or something sci-fi or supernatural. Even "Jaws" or "Close Encounters" had that.

MTV News: So in "Super 8," how far along will it be until we see the creature?

Abrams: I would say the film will obviously answer that question.

MTV News: So this isn't a "Star Trek" or a "Mission Impossible" — a pre-existing franchise. It's frankly being marketed on your name. Is there a push and pull in terms of how much to show in these last weeks before release?

Abrams: I feel like the fun of the movie is the experience of these characters and the most fun you can have as an audience is not going in feeling like you've seen more of the film than the characters have. My gut would be, as it always is, is that less is more. We have no intention of spoiling the fun prior to the film being released.

It's Summer Movie Preview Week, and MTV News will be bringing you exclusive interviews, clips and photos for the most anticipated films of the coming months. Get ready to gorge on inside looks at "Captain America," "The Hangover Part II," "X-Men: First Class," "Cowboys & Aliens" and more.

Dominic Cooper Talks Playing Saddam's Son In 'Devil's Double'

Actor opens up to MTV News about dual roles as murderous Uday Hussein and his hapless body double, in our Summer Movie Preview.
By Josh Wigler

Dominic Cooper in "Devil's Double"
Photo: Lions Gate

The reign of Saddam Hussein is mostly in the collective rearview mirror, but for Dominic Cooper it's still very much in the present.

Cooper stars in this summer's "The Devil's Double," the Lee Tamahori-directed historical gangster flick that tells the story of Saddam's murderous son Uday and his reluctant body double, Latif Yahia. Appropriately enough, Cooper's pulls double-duty as both Uday and Latif, delivering a two-pronged performance that swings between psychotic mania and indescribable tragedy. And as moviegoers will no doubt observe in the just-released trailer, getting into those two divergent headspaces could not have been an easy task.

With "The Devil's Double" arriving in theaters on July 29, now's the perfect time to get the inside track on what's sure to be one of the can't-miss movie affairs of the summer. To that end, MTV News spoke with Cooper about playing Uday and Latif as part of our continuing Summer Movie Preview.

MTV: What drew you to "The Devil's Double"? Was it the opportunity to tap into these two different roles? The chance to explore this fairly recent period of history?

Dominic Cooper: Yeah, you know, it is such an interesting period of time. It seems so apparent to us, so much to do with our recent history, really, that area with regards to the war and that regime. But I didn't know enough. To sort of get inside of it and to see what this was all about and the world in which [the Husseins] existed, for me, was really intriguing. I wanted to know more.

And the opportunity to work with [director Lee Tamahori] — once I met him, I was blown away by his energy and his vision of what the piece should be. It wasn't meant to be an accurate historical reference to those people and that period of time; it was very clouded, what the actual truth is. But he saw this incredible dynamic between an evil man and a poor guy who was thrown into a situation he couldn't get out of. That dynamic and that conflict, he found so riveting, as did I.

MTV: Just judging by the trailer, this doesn't seem like an easy project to take on.

Cooper: It wasn't. It was chaos filming it; there wasn't much time to do it, and with the technology of having to double me up and the speed with which that had to be done and the change of character I had to do in a matter of moments ... it wasn't easy.

But I remember thinking, 'This is very special for me. No matter what people think of it and no matter who sees it and no matter how it turns out, these parts come along rarely.' I just absorbed every moment of it really and enjoyed playing out being a kid — because Uday was basically a child gone wrong, but one who had access to everything with no one stopping him. I was running around with golden guns and Ferraris ... it was an odd experience! Playing out this gangster role, knowing that this man did ruin and destroy people's lives and families without any remorse or forward thinking. He was just all-out evil, Uday was. It was very complicated, playing a character that you have no empathy for.

MTV: So were you ever able to get yourself to that point, a place where you could empathize with a man like Uday?

Cooper: No, not really. [Laughs.] The wonderful thing was having Latif to play as a sympathetic character. After being this monster for days in and days out, it was nice to play something genuine and heartfelt and sort of emotionally raw rather than this savage person. I suppose in terms of strength and understanding, on some level, I had to comprehend what it must have been like for [Uday] as a child, growing up in that regime and having Saddam as a father, not being acknowledged by his father. I don't think he trusted him to take his position, to run a country, with military decisions. All of those things, if you think about them, it's why he killed his father's best friends. He was desperate for attention. He was never given enough. That was a way in for me, to try and comprehend the monstrosities that he took part in.

MTV: From a technical standpoint, how did you do this? What was the process of playing these two characters?

Cooper: Technically, some of the scenes where both of us were in the shot, we'd have a motion-controlled camera. I'd film a scene dressed as and behaving as Uday, and it would replicate the move exactly so you could double the screen up and put it over the top. I would have to guess or work out where I was standing for the other character, which was sometimes very difficult, because Uday takes up a lot of space; he's very manic, he moves around a lot, and we'd have to try and pinpoint where the eye-lines would be. It's quite complicated, really. I was basically acting to nothing, remembering the performance I was doing as that person. It wasn't easy, but again, it was so creative and in the moment because on-the-spot decisions were being made. I think a lot of the time, instead of too much thinking, you kind of go with your instincts and our wonderful cameraman's instincts, and I think it turned out better for it.

MTV: "Devil's Double" hits theaters in July, right in the midst of a very crowded summer-movie season filled with superheroes, robots and what have you. For you, what makes "Devil's Double" stand out in a sea of blockbusters?

Cooper: Well, I think it's the fact that this is not a blockbuster, in a way. [Laughs.] They're visually stunning, those films, but ultimately it depends on whether you want complete escapism — to believe that there are green monsters coming down from Mars and superheroes are flying around the sky, which is wonderful and exciting — or whether you want some sort of reality-based reference to a man who actually existed.

I think Latif's story is exhilarating. How could anyone have ever lived through that? It's so far from where we are, seeing how Baghdad functioned, this lavish and overwhelming lifestyle that these people led. There's a true horror of what went on within it. But at the same time, Lee's made it action-packed and fast moving and sexy in a way. It has all of those elements. It's a gangster film rather than a historical documentation. You're just amazed that anybody ever went through this.

Check out everything we've got on "The Devil's Double."

Lindsay Lohan wants to win an Oscar by the time she?s 30?

We were pretty shocked yesterday when we first heard that Lindsay Lohan had recorded a TV interview so soon after all her recent legal dramas.

But we?re even more surprised to learn that despite all her problems LiLo reckons she?s still got what it takes to win herself an Oscar ? by the time she?s 30.

Stranger things have happened we?ll admit, but with that theft case looming over her it still seems like a rather unlikely possibility doesn?t it?

The actress revealed this little personal goal (actually it?s a pretty grand personal goal come to think of it) during her interview with Leno which aired on US TV screens last night in which she talked about her career, her hopes for the future and of course her legal woes.

During the interview (in which the audience applauded her an awful lot for seemingly no apparent reason) the Mean Girls star ? who now wants ?public perception? to be about her ?work? only ? was asked by the chatshow host where she?d like to be in six years from now, she replied:

?Hopefully sitting here after having won an Oscar, ideally??

Lindsay also says she was ?shocked? by the outcome her recent case (over that necklace theft) however she says she?s willing to do whatever is asked of her by the courts (which by the way is possibly more prison time, plus community service in a county morgue)

?I?m a big girl and I?m going to continue on with what I?m told to do? I?m taking responsibility?

When asked if she thought she was treated unfairly or fairly she replied:

?I think I was treated the way I should be treated?

And has she learnt anything from her recent prison experience?

?It was interesting experience and definitely a wake up call?. Everything happens for a reason. The case is still pending so I can?t stay too much. It was shocking, I was definitely kind of numb?

How many wake up calls does this girl need though?

Follow these links for Part 1, Part 2 & Part 3 of the interview.

MTV Movie Awards Host Jason Sudeikis: Everything You Need To Know!

'Saturday Night Live' regular and star of 'Horrible Bosses' has bona fide comedic chops.

Congrats are in order for "Saturday Night Live" star Jason Sudeikis, who has just been announced as our newest MTV Movie Awards host. Sudeikis will be hosting the consistently star-studded and unpredictable event live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California, on June 5. So for those who haven't been following the comedic actor's every move since he began his successful career, here's a few handy Sudeikis facts and figures to help explain why he's the perfect choice to lead our 20th annual Movie Awards.

Before getting his big break on "SNL," Sudeikis performed in several improv troupes in Kansas City, Chicago and Las Vegas. In fact, he was a founding member of Second City Las Vegas, where he was eventually snatched up by "SNL" to be a sketch writer in 2003. He became a full-fledged castmember in 2006 and had memorable turns impersonating the likes of "American Idol" winner Taylor Hicks and Vice President Joe Biden.

In recent years, Sudeikis has been carving a name for himself outside of the comforts of his "SNL" family. In addition to a guest appearance on "30 Rock" as ("SNL" alum) Tina Fey's love interest Floyd, Sudeikis has appeared in a slew of feature films: "What Happens in Vegas," "The Bounty Hunter," "Going the Distance," "Hall Pass" and the upcoming flicks "Horrible Bosses" and "A Good Old-Fashioned Orgy." He also currently lends his voice to "The Cleveland Show," as Holt Richter and Terry Kimple. With all these eclectic acting tricks in his bag, Sudeikis is guaranteed to keep the MTV audience entertained come June 5.

"I'm sincerely flattered that the folks from the Mostly Teenage Viewers network have invited me to host this year, and I look forward to keeping the streak of flawless and critically lauded Movie Awards show hosting in 2011 alive," Sudeikis said about the gig.

The MTV Movie Awards nominees — based on your votes at MovieAwards.MTV.com — will be announced on May 3, at which point you'll be able to vote for your favorite films and stars in categories like Best Fight, Best Kiss, Biggest Badass Star, Best Villain and, of course, Best Movie.

ET.

'Magic Valley' Stars Talk 'Strange, Wonderful' Film At Tribeca Festival

'If I could do anything, I would do zero-budget movies forever,' Matthew Gray Gubler says of movie set in small-town Idaho.

The Tribeca Film Festival is well under way and that means there are a slew of small films looking to get their shine at the annual celebration. One of those flicks is the eerie "Magic Valley."

MTV News caught up with the film's stars Matthew Gray Gubler, Scott Glenn ("Sucker Punch") and Kyle Gallner at Tribeca to chat about the movie.

"I think [the director] Jaffe [Zinn] pulled off something very unique and special, and I think I speak for all of us when I say I think we're very proud to have been a part of such a strange and wonderful film," Gubler said. "I sort of prefer this format to everything. Also, the guy that directed it is one of my best friends, so that alone was a great pleasure to work with him on something."

Gubler went on to say that going from his work on the hit network series "Criminal Minds" to a small film was a welcome change of pace.

"I find that these movies — while they might not appeal to a giant audience — typically are the ones that touch me the most and mean the most," he explained. "So I would rather, if I could do anything, I would do zero-budget movies forever."

Like his co-star, Gallner said being a part of something that seems so small in the Hollywood world of blockbusters is sort of "exhilarating." "It's one of those things [about] indie films [that] are interesting in a way that they're brave stories that people don't want to tell and, like you said, there's not going to be the appeal to," he said. "It isn't going to be for everybody, but it's more you can get really emotionally connected and a lot of times it's very interesting characters and very interesting stories."

Check out everything we've got on "Magic Valley."

Kerry Katona is single... Again!

[Images: Mr Paparazzi/Big Pictures Words: @CandiKays]

Kerry Katona has been dumped by her Take Me Out boyfriend after he tired of living in her ?showbiz bubble?.

Kerry had only been dating Dan for a few weeks when the 27-year-old Property Developer called time on their relationship.

He told Reveal magazine, ?It just seemed really forced. All the people there were connected to her management and they were filming everything. I just couldn?t be doing with it.?

He then explained, ?They asked me if I'd do an interview for Kerry's show but I said no. Then they started talking about a photoshoot for a magazine. I'd already told them I wasn't interested in anything like that, but they just wouldn't let it rest. I was uncomfortable.

?Kerry's world is just too mad. She's a lovely girl but I can't live in that showbiz bubble. The people around her are friends, but they are not real friends, if you know what I mean.

?They are there because they share the same management. I feel really sorry for Kerry. She's a great girl but I honestly think she's really lonely and homesick.?

Aw, poor Kez.

Lindsay Lohan Locks Role In 'Gotti' Flick

Actress is set to play mob wife Kim Gotti in the film.
By Jocelyn Vena

Photo: Jeff Vespa/ WireImage

After some momentary drama on Wednesday, when it seemed that Lindsay Lohan's role in the mob family biopic "Gotti: Three Generations" was in jeopardy, it was confirmed later that the embattled starlet would still be in the film.

Originally up for the role of Victoria Gotti, Lohan is now set to play the wife of John Gotti Jr., Kim Gotti. "I'm really excited to be back on set and clear up all the misinterpretations about me and show this is what I love to do," Lohan said about the casting, according to The Associated Press. "I think it's such an iconic story. I think it's a great story to be told. I'm honored to be working with John Travolta and Joe Pesci."

The movie's producer, Marc Fiore, explained to People.com that it was Lohan herself who managed to make sure she got cast in the flick. "She was definitely out as of earlier today, but she really wanted the part," he said. "She not only is back in the movie, but she single-handedly put it all together. She called me personally and put her team on it, and we came to an agreement."

Lohan, who was originally rumored to be a part of the movie earlier this month, said that she looks forward to playing the role because "you don't get to see the heart behind the story and the real side of people. I can relate to that because I think that I've been portrayed in a certain light. I just want to do my best to show what their family really went through."

Orlando Bloom Confesses: Being a Dad is "Amazing"

orlando1_wide.jpg
First-time dad Orlando Bloom can?t seem to contain his joy over his 3-month-old son, Flynn! ?Ah, it?s amazing. It?s amazing? Orlando, 34, told In Touch of fatherhood at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of The Good Doctor in New York City on April 22. ?He?s my boy. Amazing, it?s just ? all the things that you thought were important drift into the background and the things that are important come to the foreground. He?s one of them.?

In the film, Orlando plays a doctor who falls in love with his patient, played by Elvis Presley?s granddaughter, Riley Keough. Orlando explained, ?I get to play a doctor who falls in love with a patient, which is a big no-no. He?s a guy who is doing all the wrong things for all the right reasons. It?s a tragic love story.?

Fortunately for the talented actor, art hasn?t imitated life. Orlando seems blissfully happy with his wife, Victoria?s Secret bombshell Miranda Kerr, 28, who was his date to the premiere, and seemed to somehow have miraculously lost all the ?baby weight? after giving birth three months ago! ?She?s gorgeous,? Orlando gushed to In Touch.

Co-star Rob Morrow, an old hand at daddy duty, has bonded with Orlando about being a dad. ?We were just chatting about it. I have a 10-year-old,? Rob shared with In Touch on the red carpet. ?I was telling Orlando it gets better and better and more complicated. He was showing me a zillion pictures. I think he?s going to be great and they seem like a good couple!?

Riley added, ?I think he?s a really good father. He?s so happy and excited. It?s really sweet!?

'Game Of Thrones' Sex Scenes Were 'Hard' To Film, Jason Momoa Says

'It's one of the hardest things I've ever had to do,' he tells MTV News.
By Kara Warner

For those who've been following the buzz surrounding HBO's epic new series "Game of Thrones," based on George R. R. Martin's beloved "A Song of Ice and Fire" fantasy novels, there is a lot going on in this show. In a nutshell, it's about power, politics and sex — with a little fantasy thrown in for good measure.

Speaking to the sexy factor, Emilia Clarke told MTV News back in January that her character's sex scenes were particularly "scary" but that co-star Jason Momoa helped her feel more at ease during some of the more intense moments.

In the first episode, Clarke's character Daenerys (Dany, for short) is forced into a politically motivated marriage to a much older man, Momoa's Khal Drogo, from a much different culture than her own, and on their wedding night, Drogo has his way with his new bride, in a particularly forceful manner.

When MTV News caught up with Momoa recently, the man behind the brutal warrior, we asked him what it took to get through those particularly graphic scenes with Clarke and when we might see the kinder side of Khal Drogo.

"It's hard," he said. "It's one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, because I love Emilia, she's someone that I love and adore to this day. You have to kind of separate [yourself from] it," he explained, adding that there were lots of warm fuzzies exchanged after they finished filming the scene.

"Lots of kisses and 'I'm sorry' afterwards," he said. "It's horrible, but Kahl Drogo, that's what he does. Then you watch and you see him like this, your interpretation of what the character is, but by the end, you absolutely fall in love with him and you find out a soft side."

Bravo?s Cindy Barshop is Hardly just a Housewife

house1_wide.jpg
She may look like a happy-go-lucky downtown party girl on The Real Housewives of New York City, but these days, Cindy Barshop is more into business and babies than boozy soirees.

?I wake up with my kids, then I work, work, work!? the single mom of 15-month-old twins Jesse and Zoe tells In Touch. As the owner of high-end spa Completely Bare, Cindy runs six New York locations, new spots in Atlanta, Beverly Hills and Dallas, and has plans to conquer Long Island and even Brazil with her state-of-the-art hair removal, tanning, and other beauty services. ?When all the employees are in a positive mode and we're moving forward, that?s when I feel really good.?

Despite her full schedule, Cindy guarantees to entertain fans of the Bravo reality show. The bubbly brunette, who says castmates Jill Zarin and Kelly Killoren Bensimon are her friends, foreshadows a rift with a few of the series? other women. ?When we?re away, all of a sudden there?s a big split!? she says, referring to a drama-filled getaway to Morocco with the girls.

And the supermom even gives love a chance this season. ?I just went on a couple of dates,? she says coyly, adding that she has a weakness for the rocker type.

To watch as Cindy takes over the Big Apple, tune in to Bravo on Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET.

'Scream 4' Stars Pick Their Favorite Death Scenes

'What freaks me out the most with all the deaths is the sound effects,' Emma Roberts tells MTV News.
By Kara Warner

For those of you who didn't make it to the theater over the weekend to see "Scream 4," stop reading now — we don't want to spoil anything! For everyone else, MTV News thought it would be fun to find out the cast's favorite death scenes in the new slasher pic, along with some technical insight from director Wes Craven.

And because there are so many gruesome offings from which to choose, the results of our little poll are all over the map, despite some persuasive campaigning by Anthony Anderson.

"I think the one that freaked me out the most, her name is Marielle in real life — Marielle's death," Emma Roberts said, choosing the bloody demise of Marielle Jaffe's character, Olivia Morris. "It's one of the first, and she's the popular girl, but she gets massacred. Totally just done.

"That, to me, was the freakiest, because she's running around her room, and they keep stabbing her and stabbing her," she added. "I guess what freaks me out the most with all the deaths is the sound effects. When you're doing it, it's like a retractable knife and there's fake blood squirting out, but when you have that sound effect, it totally adds another level of horror to the scene."

Adam Brody's favorite death involved the special cameos from Kristen Bell and Anna Paquin.

"I thought that was one of the more surprising ones," he said, before pointing to his co-star Anthony Anderson. "And then he's got a fantastic, dragged-out [scene]."

"Yeah, I'm going to say the black guy's death in this movie is great," Anderson joked. "I'm not going to say who it is, though, but the black guy's death in this movie. NAACP Image Award contention. We're going to go beyond Oscar and Emmy and Golden Globe; we're going to go straight to the Image Awards."

When asked how many takes it took to get that one just right, Brody and Anderson joked that there was a lot of work to it.

"I think they really worked that scene," Anderson said. "They shot that from all kinds of angles."

"[There were] 30 cameras," Brody added.

"Yeah, 30 cameras," Anderson agreed, continuing the joke. "And some of it was the super slo-mo stuff, so yeah, the black guy."

Interestingly enough, when we mentioned Anderson's epic death scene to Craven, he revealed that the drawn-out aspect wasn't originally in the script but inspired by a real-life medical emergency.

"That wasn't in the script," Craven said. "I did it without announcing it to the studio. I was hoping that they didn't fire me the next day," he recalled with a chuckle.

"It was written that the killer just comes in and pins him to the seat," Craven explained. "I had seen this thing on television, this documentary about somebody being stabbed right through the head and they actually showed the X-ray ... and the guy walked into the emergency room, so I thought it would be extraordinary if somebody was stabbed in the head and still be alive for a while."

The fact that Anderson was campaigning for his death scene to be named the best won over co-star David Arquette. "I do love a good Anthony Anderson death scene," he laughed. "He was a little zombie-like. There was a moment of 'Night of the Living Dead' [in there]."

'Water For Elephants' Cheat Sheet: Everything You Need To Know!

From Robert Pattinson's hairdo to his love scenes with Reese Witherspoon, MTV News has you covered.
By Eric Ditzian

Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon in "Water for Elephants"
Photo: 20th Century Fox

The question for Robert Pattinson wasn't if he would make the leap from "Twilight" vamp to major-studio player but when. The answer came in January 2010, when news broke that the British actor was eyeing a role in Fox's "Water for Elephants." Ever since, MTV News has been following anything and everything connected to the film, an adaptation of Sara Gruen's best-selling novel. Now the movie is set to hit theaters and we're gathering all our coverage into one place for a "Water for Elephants" cheat sheet.

Training

When word broke of Pattinson's intention to play a veterinary student named Jacob in "WFE," Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon was already signed on to play Marlena, a beautiful circus performer who's married yet falls in love with Jacob when he joins the troupe. Sean Penn was originally eyeing the role of Marlena's husband, but the part eventually went to another Oscar winner, .

With Pattinson's new part came a new haircut: Goodbye, Edward Cullen's messy locks, hello Jacob's cropped do.

The first shot of Pattinson in action arrived in June, when a photo of him climbing a train popped up online. More pics followed, including looks at Reese and Rob sharing a smooch.

Paparazzi weren't the only ones paying attention to the production. Fans were everywhere, too.

"The only thing I can compare it to is when Leo was in 'Titanic,' " Witherspoon told MTV News in December. "It was that kind of fervor about a person. The women lining up outside the set — it was just unbelievable — till 5 o'clock in the morning waiting to just glimpse him."

Rehearsal

Shortly after our chat with Reese, Fox released the first "Watermfor Elephants" trailer, highlighting the film's story of a circus-centered love triangle between Jacob, Marlena and Marlena's cruel husband, August/. That, and Rob's many smoldering looks. A second trailer debuted in March, showing a darker tone and, perhaps to lighten the mood, Reese and Rob's kiss.

As the film's release date neared, MTV News announced a live-stream event with Pattinson. The star debuted a new clip from the film and stuck around for a 30-minute chat, touching on everything from cursing on the set of "Breaking Dawn" to an awkward "WFE" love scene with Reese.

"The love scene in this, I was doing it when I had a really bad cold," Pattinson explained. "I'm not generally that awkward doing stuff apart from when I've got my belly coming out. But my nose is running all over the place and it was in one of the additional photography scenes, and Reese had this wig on, and literally, I was wiping my nose on her wig."

Performance

The live chat wouldn't be our only chance to talk with Rob and the rest of the cast. We met back up with him at a press event a few weeks later. This time around, Pattinson discussed love at first sight (he believes in it) and his preferred circus job (manual labor).

"I find it very satisfying. I like stacking boxes and stuff like that," he said. "And also I looked at all the background guys who were putting up a tent as a part of a scene and they were doing this stuff, like in 'Dumbo,' and it looked like something appealing about that, being a part of this team that creates this town in two days, and it's quite cool. And I like the idea of being the absolute everyman as well."

And, just in case you didn't get enough of RPattz, MTV News presented a live stream from the "Water for Elephants" red carpet in New York. Turns out, Rob barely made it to the event.

"It was a mad rush to get here!" Pattinson said of trying to leave the set of "Breaking Dawn," which wrapped production hours before the premiere. "I was leaving at, like, one o'clock in the morning. They're like, 'C'mon, we need one more shot!' and you've got three people pulling you from either side!"

Check out everything we've got on "Water for Elephants."

After months of rumors and speculation, "The Dark Knight Rises" has officially named two more members to its already-impressive cast: Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard. Both actors have long been assumed to have joined Christopher Nolan's third highly anticipated "Batman" film, but were not confirmed in an official capacity.

According to the announcement from Warner Bros., Gordon-Levitt will play John Blake, a Gotham City beat cop assigned to special duty under the command of Commissioner Gordon. Cotillard will appear as Miranda Tate, a Wayne Enterprises board member eager to help a still-grieving Bruce Wayne resume his father's philanthropic endeavors for Gotham.

Curiously enough, both characters are brand-new to the world of the Caped Crusader: They did not appear in the DC comic upon which the film and character are based.

Nolan, who worked with Gordon-Levitt and Cotillard on last summer's blockbuster "Inception," said about the film's new additions, "When you collaborate with people as talented as Marion and Joe, it comes as no surprise that you would want to repeat the experience. I immediately thought of them for the roles of Miranda and Blake, and I am looking forward to working with both of them again."

"The Dark Knight Rises" is set to begin production soon in Pittsburgh, a departure from Chicago, the setting used for Gotham in Nolan's "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight." Gordon-Levitt and Cotillard join recently added actors Diego Klattenhoff, Daniel Sunjata, Ben Gorman, Josh Pence and Juno Temple, in addition to fellow "Batman" newcomers Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy.
