Brian Belo to sue TOWIE TV bosses over claims they stole his idea for the show?

Brian Belo wants the world to know that he was the ?brains? (although we use that world loosely) behind the epic hit TV series The Only Way Is Essex.

He?s allegedly threatening to sue the production company who make the show because he thinks they stole his idea for the programme. And he?s also allegedly suing his old manager Adam Monroe for loss of earnings - up to �100,000 worth.

Apparently Brian spent two years working on a premise for a show which was an Essex version of the The Hills, after which his manager Mornoe pitched it to Lime Productions who now make TOWIE. On his blog Brian wrote:

?I worked on the idea for two years. I wrote the treatment, got the cast together and got a trailer made. I pitched it to production companies.

?I?m very proud of its success. I want people to know where it came from?

Brian initially featured in a pilot for ?his baby? (see the amazing video above) but when the series got commissioned by ITV he was dropped from the show along with a couple of other people.

At first the former BB star thought he?d be involved with producing TOWIE but apparently he wasn?t even invited to get on board with that.

Lime Productions have of course denied that they?ve received a formal complaint from Brian over the show and they also claim that they dreamt up the idea for the show in the first place, saying:

?The format and content of the programme was created and developed by a team at Lime Pictures.?

Who knows the truth eh? All we know is Brian would?ve been an amazing addition to the show, we miss seeing his face on TV?
