Browns vs. Saints: New Orleans Saints Breakdown

What's Worked So Far

As always, Drew Brees has been the heart and soul of the Saints this year. Brees is up among the top passers in the NFL and is the big cog that keeps New Orleans running on offense. Brees' success will determine how far the Saints go and so far, so good for New Orleans.

What's Broke So Far

Despite last week's big game by Chris Ivory, the Saints have struggled to run the ball this season. New Orleans is 21st running the ball. Injuries to Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush have really slowed the run game down to a halt and the Saints needs those guys back as quickly as possible.

Who's Hot

Robert Meachem. Meachem had by far his biggest game of the season last year and if he can pick it up going forward, it's going to add another threat to an already deep Saints receiving corps.

Who's Not

The defense. It's not that the Saints do a bad job on defense, because they don't. But what New Orleans needs to start doing is forcing turnovers on a consistent basis. The Saints did that last year and it jumpstarted their offense and was one of the big reasons why New Orleans was so successful last year. If the Saints get back to that, it will change a lot in terms of success.
