Are the Cincinnati Bengals in Trouble?

Some teams may be content with their current standings. The 2-2 records of the St. Louis Rams, Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks, and Jacksonville Jaguars on great standings for them because much wasn't expected from those teams at the beginning of the season. However, for others to be 2-2, like the Cincinnati Bengals, their scenario is a little more critical. They were expected to at least have a playoff season this year, and by some, be a Super Bowl contender.

Now the Bengals are starting to look for answers among themselves. In the first four games, Cincy was believed to have known what their issues were. That is no longer the case. Now the media and other outside influences are in their heads.

"Last week everybody was screaming about us being able to throw the ball more, and I kept saying we'd be fine, which obviously we are," said Bengals' Head Coach Marvin Lewis on Monday at his news conference, according to Bengals.com. "We have to do what it takes to win the game. That is the important thing. I don't care if a guy throws for seven zillion yards. If we don't win the game, it doesn't count for anything. That's the important part. We want to win football games. That's our goal. It doesn't matter about yardage."
